Nichole Dalusung Reynolds holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (Magna cum Laude) and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from George Mason University. A versatile and passionate musician, Nichole has worked in a variety of arenas.
With the GMU Opera Theater, she sang Suor Angelica “Novice/Lay Sister” and Riders to the Sea “Nora.” While at GMU she studied with Lisa Berger and Patricia Miller. She also sang with the GMU Vocal Jazz and Broadway ensembles, SoundCheque and Times Square, and the University Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Stanley Engebretson. Highlights include: soprano soloist in Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, which she sang on stage at Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia.
In 2009, Nichole travelled to Seoul, Korea with the Inaugural GMU International Vocal Institute, singing the roles of “Maria” in The Sound Of Music and “Madame Goldentrill” in Mozart’s Impresario under the direction of Maestro Joseph Walsh of Virginia Opera.
Behind the scenes, Nichole has worked as music director for cabaret-style music revue performances with Upper Room Theater Ministry of Manassas, Virginia, rehearsal accompanist and pit musician for various productions with Upper Room, Prince William Little Theater, and St. Mark Theater Ministry of Vienna, Virginia. For Upper Room she also assistant directed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Music Man, and Seussical.
With over twenty years of piano experience, Nichole is a freelance soloist/keyboardist and a private music instructor in the Northern Virginia area. As an energetic and licensed educator with a heart for working with youth, Nichole has worked as music Teacher at the Spotlight on the Arts Summer Camps and All Saints Catholic School, and is currently the director of the Young People’s Choir at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas, Virginia.
Married in 2012, Nichole and her husband, Paul (and their two dogs) reside in Woodbridge, Virginia where she teaches private music lessons to all ages from their in-home music studio, Surrydale Music Studio.
